Pyro One - tränen eines harlekins-Pyro One ist Teil der Berliner Rap-Crew Monkey Mob und Tränen eines Harlekins sein erstes Solo-Album. This time, it includes the second part of the second album A mort à fond, the extremely rare EP Mise a SAC, the track Enterré Vivant which was only released on the Underground compilation, and, finally, the EP 4x en 10 minutes, issued by Combat Rock and which was actually one of their demos. So, back to square one. And, once again, a bonus with the superb opening sleeve containing the lyrics and lots of pictures unseen before. Release in July 2008, 1000 copies. -

Everybody in France knows "Pas de voyous dans mon bar " (No hoodlums in my bar) or "Gueule d'Enfer" (Hells' Face), but none of the band's records had ever been repressed in vinyl (only CDs at Combat Rock). Here is the first volume including the first part of their discography. The second volume will follow in a few months. And, once again, the very beautiful opening sleeve is designed in a neat style. Not only do they collaborate across American, German, and English boundaries, but they would probably scare rogue nations into submission. Rightly compared to Amebix, Rudimentary Peni, and Killing Joke, Cross Stitched Eyes, formed in 2005, breathe new life into the anarcho-crust genre. Drummer and vo- calist Jason Willer played in Lookout Records' Enemies (with Dave Ed of Neurosis), The UK Subs, and Drain the Sky; guitarist Tim Crow was in Sworn Liars, Zygote, Bad Influence, and Smart Pils; and guitarist Chris Hutto played in Black Mass. Rounding out the rhythmic pedigree is bassist Mr. Stevie of Tourette Syndrome and Anger of Bacteria, plus Subhumans (UK) drummer Trotsky. All this name-dropping and reference-checking only matters insofar as the music kicks ass with a steel-toed boot. After releasing a 7-inch on Ruin Nation and an al- bum on Active, Cross Stitched Eyes pack fourteen short but perfectly compact songs together for their Alternative Tentacles debut. Unafraid to let loose with noise damage on "Substance" or get melodic with "Breath of Lies," the band shows a diversity of styles on Coranach.
